This North/South Engraved Lashed Toki has been created from a combination of top quality New Zealand Pounamu from the North Island(Onewa) & South Island(Greenstone) with engraving on the front sides of the carving and has then been lashed with an adjustable black waxed cord & completed with a matt finish
The Toki (Adze) was an important Maori implement. In bone or stone, it was traditionally worn by Maori elders, as it represented power, wisdom, authority, strength, control, determination and focus.
