These Duo North/South Lashed Toki`s have been created from a combination of top quality New Zealand Pounamu from the North Island(Onewa) & South Island(Greenstone) and both Toki`s have been engraved on the front and the larger Toki has engraving on the back of the carving also and has then been lashed with an adjustable black waxed cord on 1x Toki(A) & a trio plaited adjustable cord on Toki(B) & then completed with a matt finish on both Tokis
The Toki (Adze) was an important Maori implement. In bone or stone, it was traditionally worn by Maori elders, as it represented power, wisdom, authority, strength, control, determination and focus.
